Cross-campus awareness campaign launched

September 11, 2006

ITS has introduced a short-term voluntary staff transfer program designed to improve cross-campus awareness.

The program is designed to broaden the knowledge of the Service Desk environment as a whole, for staff to share ideas for improved customer service at Monash based on the Information Technologies Infrastructure Library (ITIL)* framework, and to learn some valuable new skills. This will be especially useful with the planned phase two release of the new phone system, which each staff member transferred to Clayton campus will be trained to use.

Two ITS staff members are participating in the program during September. Gippsland-based Ruth Rickell is transferring to Clayton and Sally Awad, based at Clayton, will transfer to Caulfield.

If you are interested in joining this program, please speak to your manager.

More details from Christine Walker, IT Training Manager on ext 54718.

*ITIL is a widely accepted approach to IT service management, which provides a cohesive set of best practices, drawn from the public and private sectors internationally. It is supported by a comprehensive qualification scheme, accredited training organisations, and implementation and assessment tools.
