Safe result after power failure
May 25, 2007
When the Clayton campus wide power failure occurred in mid April, Teaching
Facilities Services Unit (TFSU) staff had to manage staff and students
attending lectures in over 200 teaching spaces. A tremendous effort by
the TFSU staff resulted in the safe evacuation of all teaching spaces
and then all teaching spaces were made secure.
As power came back on the following day, all Clayton teaching spaces
were inspected to ensure that the educational technology equipment was
operating correctly. Over a 10 hour period very few problems occurred
which proved the success of the teaching spaces and the stability of our
educational technology equipment.
