Changing your SAP Password

The SAP system will alert you to change your password if you leave it for too long, via an on-screen message. However, you can change it at any time.

  1. Log in to the system - R3.
  2. Go to the Help menu at the top of the screen.
  3. Select Help from the Help menu.
  4. Scroll down to find the 'Change Password' page. There is also a link on it to another page explaining password rules for R3. (The change is made in the logon screen. )
  5. Key in your client number, user ID and current password.
  6. Click on 'New password' in the application toolbar near the top of the screen. The new password dialogue box will be displayed
  7. Key in the new password
  8. Key in the repeat for confirmation.
  9. Press Enter
  10. Follow the on-screen prompts through to your main menu screen.

Forgotten your password?

You can call the SAP Service Desk if you have forgotten your password.
