1. What is Monash e-Meeting?
Monash e-Meeting is the IBM Lotus Samtime product customised to the Monash environment. It allows you to see whether someone is online, and then choose to have a text, video or voice discussion with them. You can also schedule online meetings where a group of people can view presentation slides, with voice or video, and even collaborate together on a document from someone’s desktop.

2. When will I be able to use Monash e-Meeting?
Monash e-Meeting will conclude its pilot prior to being released to Monash staff in 2009. It will then be bundled with the Monash Messaging (Lotus Notes) rollout and any groups using Monash Messaging will be able to use Sametime.

3. What are the minimum computer specifications for running Monash e-Meeting?
The Monash recommendation for running the Lotus Sametime product in conjunction with Lotus Notes is at least 2GB of RAM.

4. Can I collaborate with people external to Monash using e-Meeting?
A product called the Sametime Gateway allows you to connect with public IM networks such as Google Talk, Yahoo Messenger & AOL. This will be implemented after general release of Monash e-Meeting to Monash staff.

5. When I invite a person to a meeting, is the Monash Directory Service (MDS) available for me to access?
Yes, MDS is the default directory service for online meetings via Monash e-Meeting.

6. Can I restrict access while screen-sharing? I don't want others to be able to access everything on my screen.
Yes, Monash e-Meeting gives you the option to select which programs you wish to share while using the screen-sharing feature.

7. When using Monash e-Meeting, can I share my screen with more than one collaborator at a time?
Monash e-Meeting permits you to screen-share with only one person at a time. There is also a 'whiteboard' feature, which all collaborators can use at the same time.

8. Am I able to have multiple audio and video feeds using Monash e-Meeting?
No. Monash e-Meeting is set to toggle between only those speaking in order to create a more streamlined experience for collaborators.
