Automatic internet logoff configuration for Windows XP/Vista

The following instructions will allow Monash staff and students to configure their Windows XP/Vista workstation/laptop to automatically logoff from the Monash internet service each time they login/logout of Windows XP/Vista.

Why automate Internet logoff?

If more than one person regularly users your computer and you do not wish them to utilize the internet under your username, then installing the logoff policy below will allow automatic logoff from the Monash internet service each time someone logs in/logs out of Windows on your PC.

What about computer labs or other novell environments?

Faculty IT support staff have already included the internet logoff policy into the student novell login/logout process and are investigating deploying the policy in the staff novell environment.

Step 1

Download and run install-internetlogoff-policy-v1.4.exe
