Changing from IMAP to IMAPS in Microsoft Outlook

This document will guide you through changing your IMAP settings in your Microsoft Outlook mail account to use secure IMAP (IMAPS). Please see the main guides page for a list of other categories.

1. Open Outlook and go to Tools -> Email Accounts
2. Select View of Change Exiting Email Accounts and click Next.
3. Select your Monash account and click Change.
4. Click More Settings and select the Advanced tab.
5. Check the This server requires a secure connection (SSL) box. This should change the port to 993.
6. Press Apply
