Changing from IMAP to IMAPS in Mozilla Thunderbird

This document will guide you through changing your IMAP settings in your Mozilla Thunderbird mail account to use secure IMAP (IMAPS). Please see the main guides page for a list of other categories.

1. Open Thunderbird and go to Tools > Account Settings
2. Select your Monash account and select Server Settings
3. Check the Use Secure connection (SSL) box. This should change the port to 993.
   Note: Do not select TLS if this option is available.
4. Click OK
