Welcome to iFolder

What is iFolder?

The iFolder service is primarily for laptop computer users. It allows your most critical files to automatically follow you everywhere - online or offline - across multiple systems and the internet. Files saved in an iFolder are always available via hard drive or web browser. This ensures that your files are always safe, secure and up to date. Now your files can be as mobile as you are - at work, home or on the go.

With iFolder, files are saved to a special local folder. In the background they are automatically updated on the Monash iFolder server.

Files saved while at the office are automatically transferred to other computers connected to your iFolder account. This could even be your home computer.

iFolder provides reliable protection against data loss; if your computer fails, at home, at a conference, in transit, if your computer is lost or destroyed, your files are still accessible and usable as they are stored on the Monash network servers.

How to get iFolder

  1. Request an iFolder account and select "iFolder" from the Novell service list.  Space is charged with this service at $30 per gigabyte, which is a once off cost.

Please refer to the Online iFolder Help  file for a comprehensive explanation of all the features.

Important note: Files can only be accessed offline if Novell iFolder has been loaded on the workstation you are accessing your files from. When working on a document offline it is important to log onto the internet both before and after altering a document/ set of documents to ensure your latest changes and additions are updated across all workstations.
