Synchronising email with your Apple iPhone

Before beginning ensure that you have setup Monash-Connect wireless access on your iPhone

Step 1 - Your personal settings

  • Select Mail
  • Select Other
  • Tap the Name field

  • Enter in your Name, Email address, and Authcate password.
  • When completed, tap Save

Step 2 - Your account settings

  • Ensure that IMAP is selected
  • Enter your Name and Email address if not already completed

  • In your Host name, enter the following:

    • For Lotus Notes users: Select your cluster server followed by its.monash.edu.au

      For example; "staff-au-cluster2a.its.monash.edu.au"
      Your cluster can be found on your PC in your lotus notes client above your inbox

    • For non-Lotus Notes users: Use the host name: mail.monash.edu.au
      Enter your Authcate username and password

  • In Outgoing Mail Server set a host name of smtp.monash.edu.au
  • Enter your Authcate username and password
  • Select Save

You should now be able to read your email through the iPhone mail application.
