2. How do I disable the Monash Socks Proxy when I am using my computer from home?
Alternatively: Disabling Permeo can be achieved via Start > Programs > Permeo Security Driver > User Properties > tick Disable > OK. 3. How do I use the Socks Proxy under Mac OSX?Permeo does not provide a client for MacOSX. However lab workstations and staff machines upon request can be configured to use the service as an unauthenticated socks proxy. This will allow university applications to connect via socks to specific remote destinations. 4. Monash Socks Proxy (Permeo) seems to work with some applications but not others. What do I do?Please log a call with the Monash ITS service desk indicating the application which fails to work under Permeo and Networks will investigate further. 5. Does the Monash Socks Proxy (Permeo) work via Wireless?Yes. You will need to follow the wireless connection instructions which includes downloading and installing the Monash VPN. The Monash Socks Proxy (Permeo) will need to be installed after a successful installation of the Monash VPN. 6. Does the Monash Socks Proxy (Permeo) work via the Monash VPNYes. The Monash VPN must be installed first and the Monash Socks Proxy (Permeo) second.
