Virtual private network (VPN)

Installation

Please select your operating environment:

What is VPN?

A Virtual private network (VPN) is a private communications network tunnel used by Monash to communicate confidentially over the Internet.

Why install the VPN software?

Installation of Monash's VPN software will provide full remote access to most services found on the university's private network (such as SAP, Employee Self Service (ESS), and internally published web pages etc) that are not otherwise accessible via the Internet. Note that access via VPN to some services requires a digital certificate

The software is also needed to connect to Monash's on-campus wireless network (Monash-Wireless-Net).
