Mobile phone procurement for Monash UniversityOrder through the Solve online store
The university is currently in a tender process for the selection of carrier telephony services that may result in a different mobile carrier.
You should consider this when entering into a fixed term data plan and should inform yourself of the termination penalties.
It is also relevant that the handset is usable on all networks (Next G + GSM quad band) and not just on Telstra's Next G network. The approved devices are compatible with all carriers. It is expected that the tender will be finalised by February. Monash is also currently running a Blackberry pilot. If successful this may result in the Blackberry being the recommended PDA for some or all relevant university staff.
