Callista Business Improvements

Description

Callista was implemented at Monash University in 2000 and since then improvements have been progressively implemented via WES, MRS and other Monash customisations to provide more streamlined processes and to respond to the changing environment. A project is proposed for 2009 to further improve processes to:

  • Address some of the remaining student processes not yet entirely online,
  • Improve and automate staff processes so a better turnaround can be provided for students,
  • Improve processes to achieve cost benefits.

The project will involve the development of further custom functionality for Monash University addressing Person Information Maintenance, Course Inquiry and Planning, Fees & Scholarships management, improving the integrity of Malaysia campus data, streamlining Graduation application processes, developing an interface between Callista and TRIM and the incorporation of HWD and EDC information into Callista. There are also government reporting and legislative requirements that need to be addressed.
