Videoconferencing Services

The primary use of videoconferencing at Monash University is to provide a state of the art, premium communication service for both academic and general staff, students, Monash affiliates and the corporate sector.

Information Technology Services division provides for 2 forms of videoconferencing services:

  • Videoconference Rooms
  • Desktop Videoconferencing

Room-based Videoconferencing

The videoconference and videoteaching systems consist of videoconference rooms at the Clayton, Caulfield, Gippsland, Peninsula and Berwick campuses, portable videoconferencing systems at the Parkville campus and Monash City Office, and videoteaching lecture theatres at Clayton, Caulfield, Gippsland, Peninsula and Berwick campuses.

Desktop Videoconferencing

Desktop videoconferencing service encompasses audio and video communication with anyone, any time and any place in the world by connecting with one another from any desktops/laptops.

The videoconferencing directory has white pages that list all videoconferencing users and endpoints (including online status) at Monash University.
