Records Management System

Description

This project extends the implementation of the TRIM records management software to support staff in searching, capturing, securely storing and accessing electronic documents and records that provides evidence of the university's activities.

This project is aligned with the Information Management Strategy and is a priority project in the Student and Community Services Division Portfolio Roadmap. It supports the university's ability to respond to recommendations in the Victorian Auditor-General's report on Records Management in the Victorian Public Sector.

TRIM will be progressively implemented within areas of the university according to priority business need, readiness and risk. As the project involves development and delivery of a new records management service, a change program is being implemented in conjunction with the software roll-out. The program includes major components of stakeholder engagement, communication, user learning support and documentation. The level of functionality provided may vary according to client group need (eg some may only require document registration, search and tracking functionality).
