Blackboard (MUSO) - Capacity Expansion
Description
In order to maintain pace with the increasing utilisation of the University's centrally provided learning management system, the Blackboard (MUSO) service requires additional capacity.
By mid-2008, the project will deliver:
- additional storage to ensure there remains sufficient space to house online learning materials and activities; and,
- a more efficient data back-up regime to mitigate the risk of data loss in the event of a disaster.
Implementing this project will not require any significant service unavailability and will not impact the way current student and staff use the Blackboard service for online education purposes.
