Research Administration Business Improvements

Under the new Excellence in Research for Australia (ERA) framework, funding decisions will be made based on evaluations of Monash's research performance. ERA will use three broad categories of indicators:

• research activity and intensity,
• research quality,
• excellent applied research and translation of research outcomes.

Gathering and reporting on research data to demonstrate performance against these indicators will be critical.

This project will address the ERA requirements and continue to progressively enhance the IT systems in support of research administration at Monash. Utilising the capabilities being implemented by the Application Integration project through the development of various research and supervision related web based application forms, the project will also ease the burden on researchers, Higher Degree Research students and administrators.
