Student Messaging Service Renewal

Description

The current student email service is no longer supported by the vendor and needs to be upgraded or replaced. Since the current service was put in place, a number of other options have become available. Options like Lotus Notes and outsourced options such as Google provide an integrated solution including calendar and other messaging services.

It is planned to review the student environment in the second half of 2008 in order to determine which outcome best fits the needs of the service. Whatever solution is then recommended to the University will be implemented in 2009.
