Backup your work

If your computer crashes or your notebook is stolen, you could lose precious files and be forced to redo work.

One of the easiest ways to protect important work is to save your files to the Monash network drive, at least every 15 minutes. By consistently saving your ‘work in progress’, you reduce the amount of lost information you would have to redo, if you experienced an unexpected data loss.

Staff can save and copy files to the Monash network drives. U:, V: or other drives depending on how your network and workflow is set up.

If you use a computer outside of Monash and would like to learn more about backing up, vist this link on backing up your data at home.
