Monash Directory Service
The Monash Directory Service (MDS) contains basic information about almost every student and staff member at Monash. It is updated from a number of sources, including personnel and student database systems, on a nightly basis.
The MDS is used as a central database for computer systems including email, the my.monash portal, WES, student exam information, directory searching, and some library systems. They use MDS to (among other things) authenticate users and find information about a user (including what resources users have access to).
Searching the MDS can be done by name, department, phone number, email address, and a number of other fields. At no time will personal information (such as staff ID) be available for public viewing.
