Monash Directory Service

The Monash Directory Service (MDS) is a collection of basic information about staff and students. Ideally, every member of the Monash community should be listed in the directory service. It is updated from a number of sources, including personnel and student database systems, on a nightly basis.

The Monash Directory Service is used as a central database for many other computer systems. They use MDS to (among other things) authenticate users and find information about a user (including what resources users have access to).

Within Monash, it is also possible to search the MDS directly. Searches can be done by name, department, phone number, email address, and a number of other fields.

Please note: At no time will personal information (such as staff ID) be available for public viewing.
