Objectives of the TFSU Group

1. Liaise regularly with Facilities and Services, Faculties and the Conference Office regarding teaching space establishment, functionality, maintenance and upgrades
2. Consider the most appropriate manner in which the Lectures On-line service might be expanded to all Australian campuses in consultation with the Library
3. Measure utilisation of teaching spaces through Syllabus+, including seat utilisation
4. Provide accurate information to Faculties about the costs of maintaining and supporting teaching spaces
5. Pilot provision of laptop connectivity for students in selected teaching spaces
6. Improve availability of educational technology equipment in teaching spaces used for postgraduate teaching (and other small teaching areas) by providing appropriate educational technology based on fitness for purpose, at minimum cost
7. Negotiate with Faculties for the transfer of independently managed teaching spaces to the central programme
8. Review and improve quality of seating, lighting and furnishings across all teaching spaces in consultation with Facilities and Services
9. Benchmark Monash educational technology equipment in teaching spaces against other Universities
