Teaching services and support unit
Teaching Space Operations

Provide scheduled and on-call technical support in teaching spaces for teaching staff, other Monash University staff and off-campus hirers.

Carry out daily operational checks on all educational technology equipment in teaching spaces and perform first line maintenance when necessary.

Perform a weekly maintenance check of all educational technology equipment and teaching space operating systems, report any equipment or operating faults to the Technical Support Unit.

Report any lighting, seating and building problems to the Facilities and Services Division.
Provision and support of educational technology equipment

Supply and setup educational technology equipment as requested by teaching staff and other departments within the university.

Demonstrate the operations of this equipment to ensure untroubled operation by the user.

Assist teaching staff and other users to interface their equipment with equipment supplied by the Teaching Facilities Support Unit.
Training in the operation of lecture theatres

Academic staff and all customers are offered the opportunity to gain familiarity and competency in the operation of educational technology equipment and teaching space operating systems.

This training is usually given on a one-on-one basis and is available both before and during semester.
