Teaching Space Operations

• Provide scheduled and on-call technical support in teaching spaces for teaching staff, other Monash University staff and off-campus hirers.
• Carry out daily operational checks on all educational technology equipment in teaching spaces and perform first line maintenance when necessary.
• Perform a weekly maintenance check of all educational technology equipment and teaching space operating systems, report any equipment or operating faults to the Technical Support Unit.
• Report any lighting, seating and building problems to the Facilities and Services Division.

Provision and support of educational technology equipment

• Supply and setup educational technology equipment as requested by teaching staff and other departments within the university.
• Demonstrate the operations of this equipment to ensure untroubled operation by the user.
• Assist teaching staff and other users to interface their equipment with equipment supplied by the Teaching Facilities Support Unit.

Training in the operation of lecture theatres

• Academic staff and all customers are offered the opportunity to gain familiarity and competency in the operation of educational technology equipment and teaching space operating systems.
• This training is usually given on a one-on-one basis and is available both before and during semester.
