Windows NetMeeting

Notes / known issues

• Windows NetMeeting is unable to call unregistered endpoints. Unregister Windows Netmeeting from the gatekeeper to call unregistered endpoints.
• Supports T.120 Data Sharing but does not support H.239 Desktop Content Sharing.
• Firewall information from the Microsoft website.

Installation

Most Windows desktops may already have NetMeeting.

1. Go to Start menu and select Run....
2. Type in conf and select OK.
3. Follow on-screen instructions as NetMeeting starts.

Configuration

1. Go to Tools and select Options... in the Windows NetMeeting program.
   
   
   
   
2. Click on Advanced Calling....
   
   
   
   
3. Select the checkbox for 'Use a gatekeeper to place calls.' and type in gk.monash.edu.au as the Gatekeeper.
   
   
4. Select the checkbox for 'Log on using my account name' and type in your name (firstname lastname) as the Account name.
   
   
5. Select the checkbox for 'Log on using my phone number' and type inyour office telephone number (without the '990' if your number begins with '990').
   
   
   
   
6. Select OK and OK to complete.
