eduroam

A federation of academic institutions offers internet connection to the users of all other member institutions through eduroameduroam - 'education roaming'.

The eduroam service is intended for:

  • visitors to a Monash campus from other academic institutions, who can then connect to their home University, and
  • Monash staff visiting other academic institutions who require wireless connectivity back to the Monash network.

A client can login to a wireless access point, using their home university account, to any eduroam wireless network at participating campuses around Australia and the world and gain access to their home institutions data network.

The eduroam service is available at all Monash University Australian campuses as well as the Monash University city offices.

Authorised Use Policy

All eduroam use is subject to the authorised use policy (AUP) of both the user's home institution and the institution they visit.

The Monash University AUP is can be found at: IT Use Policy - Staff & Other Authorised Users
