More wireless points available

3 July 2006

More wireless access points have been installed across Monash campuses, meeting student demand for mobile services.

Recent additions include:

  • Coverage throughout the new Caulfield H Block building, including lecture theatres.
  • The installation of nine wireless access points at the Peninsula campus (in buildings A, E, F, H and U) which provides access to the bulk of the student areas at the campus.
  • Installation on the 3rd floor of the MacFarlane Burnet Centre at the Alfred Hospital.
  • Assisting Southern Health to install wireless access points in all four floors in the Monash Health Research Precinct (MHRP) building at the Monash Medical Centre at Clayton.
  • Coverage added to the 7th and 11th floor Monash meeting room areas at 30 Collins Street in the city.

This brings the number of access points now available to 370. Further information on how to connect to the Monash wireless network is available online.
