Setting your passwords for unit specific computer accounts

During the year you might enrol in a unit which requires that you to use another system such as a Unix or Linux system.

If this is the case, your lecturer will advise you and an account will be created for you on the required systems as part of your enrolment.

For each system you will use your Authcate username to login.
You will need to set your password before you can access the system by following the instructions on the set passwords for specific systems eg Linux, SNG, Webedit page.

Warnings:

• Your files on the system will be inaccessible as soon as you get a final result for that unit so you MUST save you files before results are published.
• Access to the system will expire on the day your final result for the unit is available.
• You will NOT get any reminder that your access will end.

If you are enrolled in another unit that has the same requirements and overlaps or immediately follows the first unit, then your access will continue until results are published for the second unit.
