How to install Monash-Connect for Pocket PC (Windows Mobile)
Prerequisites
Before installing the Monash-Connect client, please ensure that the synchronisation between your PDA and PC is working correctly.
Download the file below on your PC/Laptop (Not your PDA).
Installing the Monash-Connect client
- Synchronise your PDA to your PC.
- Download and run the above client installation file on your PC/Laptop (Not your PDA).
- Click the Next button on the Welcome screen.
- Read the License Agreement and click the I Agree button to continue.

- Click the Install button.


- Click OK to finish PC setup.
- Look on your PDA and select Yes to install the cab file
(If prompted for select location options when installing the cab file, please choose to install on Device)

- Select ok to finish
Configuring Monash-Connect
- Select Start then Settings then Connections then Wi-Fi Utilities then Search for Networks
- Select and hold Monash-Connect until the next screen appears

- Select Monash-Connect
- Select The Internet for Connects to:
- Select Network Key and leave the settings as WPA and TKIP.

- Select 802.1x and make sure Use IEEE 802.1x network access control box is ticked

- Select SecureW2 for EAP type:
- Select New and enter in the name field Monash-Connect
- Select Connection and remove the tick on the box Use alternate outer identity

- Select Certificates and remove the tick on the box Verify server certificates

- Select Authentication and ensure PAP is selected for Select Authentication Method:

- Select User Account and remove the tick on the box Prompt user for credentials
- Insert your Monash Authcate user name (it should be similar to jbloggs).
- Insert your Monash Authcate password in the password field
- Select OK then OK then OK to finish
Connecting to Monash-Connect
- Select Start then Settings then Connections then Wi-Fi Utilities then Search for Networks
- Select and hold Monash-Connect and then select Connect
- Launch your Pocket PC Internet Explorer and insert http://my.monash.edu.au into the address field. You should see the page load successfully.
